The old SQ series was discontinued in July 2013.
The main points of comparison between the new and old type are as follows.
① The pilot valve has been changed. (New and old pilot valves are not interchangeable.)
② The low-wattage type (0.4 W) is now the standard specification.
③ The new valves are manifold mountable.
Non-replaceable pilot valve: SV, SQ, SZ, and SX series
Non-replaceable solenoid assembly: For VK, VT307, VT325, VT301, and VT315 series replaceable pilot valve (solenoid assembly) part numbers, refer to the respective catalogs of each series.
The SI unit mounted on an SQ series manifold is the EX140. Details on the EX140 series can be found here.
Be aware that the specifications vary depending on the communication protocol. Refer to the manual on the SMC website to check the specifications of each EX140 series SI unit.
