Acceleration Actuating air passes from cylinder port on rod side and enters the left chamber of the cylinder from space between cushion seal and U-shaped groove on the outer surface of cushion spear. Also, air in right hand side of chamber of piston is exhausted from cylinder port. As U-shaped groove on the cushion spear outer surface gradually becomes deeper, the cylinder accelerates.
