For details, refer to the back of page 6, Procedure for replacing or changing the mounting angle of a pressure gauge.
For compressed air quality, refer to the SMC Best Pneumatics No. 6 catalog. 5. Precautionary measures against condensation Moisture condensation can occur inside pneumatic systems due to a drop in temperatures caused by the piping or operating conditions. This can degrade or wash away grease, resulting in a shortened service life or a malfunction.
Remove the piston 4 and 35 with the rack 6 from the body. (The rack has a specified mounting direction, so this should be checked when removing it from the body.) 4.

When the actuator is used as a clamping mechanism, there is a danger of work pieces dropping out of it if there is a decrease in clamping force due to a drop in circuit pressure caused by a power outage. Therefore, safety equipment should be installed to prevent human injury or damage to machinery and equipment. 6. Consider a possible loss of power supply.

M5 First, tighten by hand, then use a wrench appropriate for the hexagon flats of the body to tighten an additional 1/6 to 1/4 turn. A reference value for the tightening torque is 1 to 1.5 Nm. Note) Excessive tightening may damage the thread portion or deform the gasket and cause air leakage. Insufficient tightening may loosen the threads, or cause air leakage.

Applied voltage When connecting fittings to valves, tighten as indicated below. 1) M3, M5 types 1. When using SMC fitting, follow the guidelines below. After tightening by hand, tighten an additional 1/4 (M3), 1/6 (M5) turn with a tightening tool. However, if miniature fittings are used, tighten an additional 1/4 turn with a tightening tool after tightening by hand.
