The manual knob type is adjusted in the same way as the normal regulator valve, but for the air operated type, the pressure set by an IR series compact precision regulator or an ITV series electro-pneumatic regulator is supplied to the PA (pilot port) of the VEX, which precisely controls the large amount of pressure.
It is recommended that ITV series electro-pneumatic regulators be installed on the inlet side of the solenoid valve. When installed between the solenoid valve and the cylinder, the solenoid valve built into the regulator will operate frequently due to the exhaust of the regulator inlet pressure or pressure changes on the outlet side, affecting the life of the regulator.
You can also suffix “-X400” to the ITV series regulator part number to add a gauge port via special order.
However, there is always internal leakage present with ITV series regulators, so the retention is temporary and cannot be guaranteed.
ITV series regulators require a power supply (24 VDC or 12 V) for driving the solenoid valve.
