Series ITV is an electro-pneumatic regulator that controls air pressure with an electric signal.  This configuration mounts up to 8 regulators on an aluminum manifold, for consolidation of space and air supply.  The port size and thread type of the manifold can be selected.  The regulators include PROFINET communication, designed and built in SMC's North American headquarters. 

Series ITV is an electro-pneumatic regulator that controls air pressure with an electric signal.  This version, designed and built in SMC's North American headquarters, communicates over the PROFINET fieldbus protocol.  The physical design is CE and UL certified.  The network interface is certified for PROFINET version 2.35, Conformance Class C, Netload Class III.

The manual knob type is adjusted in the same way as the normal regulator valve, but for the air operated type, the pressure set by an IR series compact precision regulator or an ITV series electro-pneumatic regulator is supplied to the PA (pilot port) of the VEX, which precisely controls the large amount of pressure.

It is recommended that ITV series electro-pneumatic regulators be installed on the inlet side of the solenoid valve. When installed between the solenoid valve and the cylinder, the solenoid valve built into the regulator will operate frequently due to the exhaust of the regulator inlet pressure or pressure changes on the outlet side, affecting the life of the regulator.

You can also suffix “-X400” to the ITV series regulator part number to add a gauge port via special order.

However, there is always internal leakage present with ITV series regulators, so the retention is temporary and cannot be guaranteed.

ITV series regulators require a power supply (24 VDC or 12 V) for driving the solenoid valve.
Therefore, pressure control is not possible with only a 4 to 20 mA input signal. Note) Old IT1000/2000/4000 series regulators of the 4 to 20 mA input signal current type were a 2-wire type, but they were designed to not require a power supply voltage.
