There are some types of valves which have a port with a screw stamped “PE” that has been cut. What does this mean?

Do not block this port as doing so may lead to a malfunction. Install a silencer if you are concerned about the noise. (There may be a PE port even when the pilot valve’s exhaust is collectively exhausted, such as with the new SY series.)

What are the Rc1/8 ports with an “X” and a “Y” engraved on them on the VQ7 series sub-plate used for? Also, do the Rc1/8 ports with a “PA” and a “PB” engraved on them above the manifold base exhaust port need to be piped?

Do not block any of these ports with a plug as the valves will no longer operate if plugged. If the ambience around the valves is poor, the installation of a silencer is recommended.
Note) For a single unit single solenoid, exhaust is not performed from the Y port (the side without a pilot valve).

What are the PE and X ports of VFS and VFR series valves for? Can these ports be plugged?

Do not plug this port. If it is blocked, the pilot air cannot be exhausted and the valve operation will be affected.

For VFS or VFR series 2-position valves, can either the A or B port be plugged in order to use it as a 2-port or 3-port valve?

Note) Do not plug the exhaust ports (EA or EB); instead, mount a silencer. (The same goes for the PE port.)
