A small amount of air is exhausted when switching. Do not block this port as doing so may lead to a malfunction. Install a silencer if you are concerned about the noise. (There may be a PE port even when the pilot valve’s exhaust is collectively exhausted, such as with the new SY series.)

It is a locking mechanism that prevents the connected plug and socket from coming off due to impact such as dropping.
Rotate the sleeve of the socket to lock and unlock it. The sleeve lock mechanism is available as standard for KK series S couplers and as an option for KK130 series S couplers. It is not available for KKA series S couplers.
