Series CEU5, multi counter was developed to work with CEP1 or CE1 high precision, stroke reading cylinders. CEU5 utilizes a RS-232C communication system which allows multiple counters to be linked together (each counter has a unique address, 1-99. BCD output, which allows the counter to be connected to a panel display, is available as a standard option.

CEU5 series multi-counters also have a count value storage function when the power is turned OFF. However, if the cylinder moves after the power is turned OFF, the CEU5 count value and the cylinder position after the power is turned ON again will not match.

CEU5 series multi-counters can be used to communicate via RS-232C. There is also a type with a BCD output function. Either can be used to do this.
CEU5 series multi-counters are capable of cylinder stop output.
A signal is output when there has been no numerical change for a certain period of time, so this signal can be used to indicate when the cylinder has stopped.
This function is useful for detecting the push position or resetting the value at the cylinder origin position.
