When the element is clogged and the differential pressure between the inlet and outlet sides increases, the switch is activated, and at the same time, the red ring will float in the indicator window. Replace the element when this happens. Once the flow stops, the signal and red ring will return
The “mesh” indicates the number of openings in 1 inch.
The higher the number, the finer the filtration accuracy.
The adaptation with the nominal filtration rating of SMC elements is as follows: #100 mesh ― 149 μm, #150 mesh ― 105 μm, and #200 mesh ― 74 μm.

A large differential pressure may have been generated momentarily during cylinder operation.
Factors that cause a large differential pressure include changes in speed and an increase in hydraulic oil viscosity due to changes in temperature (in winter), which may also cause aging of the pump. Check the situation and contact SMC if you require further assistance.
