If there is no buffer mechanism, an excessive impact force is generated. As a result, the tensile compression force of the floating joint may exceed its maximum level.

Be sure to connect the load to the plate section with the lock in an unlocked condition. If this is done in the locked state, it may cause damage to the lock mechanism. Sizes 20 through 32 have a built-in holding function for the unlocked state, allowing the unlocked condition to be maintained even without an air supply.

The purpose of an air cushion is not to reduce the speed of a piston as it nears the stroke end.

Do not install in Zone 0 (as defined in IEC 60079-101:2008) or Zone 20 (as defined in IEC 60079-10-2:2009) Zone 0 area classification: An area in which an explosive gas atmosphere is present continuously or for long periods or frequently.

Install an air filter Install an air filter of 5 m or smaller filtration on upstream side. 2. Take measures to ensure air quality, such as by installing an aftercooler, air dryer, or water separator. Compressed air that contains a large amount of drainage can cause a malfunction of pneumatic equipment such as valves.

Select an air-hydro type in combination with an air-hydro unit. Since good operation of an air-hydro type depends on its combination with an air-hydro unit, carefully select an appropriate air-hydro unit. Maintenance Caution 1. Bleed air from the air-hydro type on a regular basis. Since air may accumulate inside the air-hydro type, bleed air from it, for example before starting work.

Use an exclusive crimping tool for crimping. (Please contact SMC for the dedicated crimping tools.)

Do not use the cylinder under following environments: 1) An area in which fluids such as cutting oil splash on the piston rod. 2) An area in which foreign matter such as particles, cutting chips, dust, or spatter is present. 3) An area in which the ambient temperature exceeds the operating range. 4) An area exposed to direct sunlight. 5) An environment that poses the risk of corrosion. 1.

Note 5) The system accuracy when combined with an applicable flow sensor.

Compressed air can be dangerous if an operator is unfamiliar with it.

Environment at an altitude of 1000 meters or higher Heat radiation and withstand voltage will decrease. Contact SMC for details. (2) Do not use in an environment where the product is directly exposed to liquid, such as cutting oils.

The flatness of the mounting surface may not be maintained, which would cause an increase in sliding resistance.
