The pressure set by a compact regulator valve or an electro-pneumatic regulator is supplied to the P1 (external pilot) port of the VEX, which controls the large amount of pressure.

This allows the outlet pressure to flow back rapidly to the inlet side due to the mechanism that opens the main valve.
The AR20K-B to AR60K-B and the AR20K-D to AR40K-D series are regulators with a backflow function.
