The new VQZ series consumes less power due to the changing of the pilot valve. The old and new valves are generally interchangeable, but the (L type plug/M type plug) connector is not interchangeable.
The standard power consumption of new VQZ series valves is now only 0.35 W (DC), so there is no low-wattage type (symbol “Y”) as there was for old VQZ series valves.
Check the part number list below.
Ex.) For the DC type with a 300 mm lead wire, the part number will be “SY100-30-4A,” and for the DC type with a 2000 mm lead wire, the part number will be “SY100-30-4A-20.”

Therefore, the allowable leakage voltage of the AC type is now 12.5% or less of the rated voltage (compared with 20% or less of the rated voltage for the VS7/VP7).
If a leakage voltage exceeding 12.5% of the rated voltage remains in the circuit when the valve is turned OFF, the pilot valve may not recover.
The weight of the current product (new type) has been reduced compared to the existing product (old type) by changing the shape of the body.
In addition, it is interchangeable with the existing model (old type).
For the current product, there is an “A” added in the part number.
They can be locked by pressing the front push button. The unlocking method, however, depends on the special order part number suffix added to the part number. See below for details.
Alternate type (special order part number suffix “-X207”): Press the button again to return the valve to its original state.

Supported protocols: DeviceNetTM, CC-Link, CompoBus/S (16 outputs), CompoBus/S (8 outputs), S-LINK V (16 outputs), S-LINK V (8 outputs), NKE (wiring saving system), NKE (wiring saving H system)
The operation manual of each EX140 series SI unit can be found here.

The main changes are as follows:
1) The product was made non-lube as standard.
2) The shape of the cushion valve was changed.
3) The color of the cover, etc., was changed.
Regarding the part number, since the CA1 series had both a lube and a non-lube type cylinder, an “N” had to be added to the part number for the non-lube type.
Similarly, it is also required for CQS*S series cylinders (anti-lateral load type).
However, the rubber bumper (option “C”) cannot be selected for CQSK series cylinder (non-rotating rod type).

Therefore, it is a locking mechanism that can be operated only with a 5-port 2-position valve, similar to a standard cylinder. Note that the cylinder can only be locked at the stroke end.
End lock cylinder: [Video]
MYC and MY1C series cylinders are interchangeable, including the side support. The dimensions of the slide table have been changed.
D-E□ auto switches must be replaced with the equivalent current product.
However, MYH and MY1H-Z series cylinder are not interchangeable.
③ The stroke adjustment unit is a combination of either an A unit, an L unit, or an H unit (symbol “A,” “L,” or “H”) and no spacer, a short spacer (symbol “6”), or a long spacer (symbol “7”), 1 for the left side and 1 for the right.
Please refer to the MY series catalog.
The MY series catalog can be found https://www.smcpneumatics.com/Part-Builder-Links_ep_2458-1.html?https://smccatalog.partbuilder.smcpneumatics.com/support/faq/en-jp/?ca_id=actuators&fa_id=11035
In both cases, select the stroke adjustment symbol “A” (0 to 10 mm) or “B” (0 to 25 mm) when ordering the product to specify the stroke adjustment range.
Information for MGP-XC8 can be found here.
Information for MGP-XC9 can be found here.
