The NCG provides precision mounting, short overall length, and high speed. Rubber bumpers are standard and an optional adjustable air cushion is available. Nine mounting styles include basic body, foot, single clevis, front or rear flange, front or rear trunnion, nose mount, and double clevis. The MU plate cylinder, with its elliptical design, provides a low profile while maintaining force output. The MU cylinder can eliminate the need for higher operating pressures that may be required for typical flat cylinders. SMC's series CA2-Z air cylinder is 15% lighter than the existing CA2 cylinder. Fine adjustment is now possible due to the increase in the air cushion adjustment range. The CA2-Z can now be ordered with rod end or pivot brackets, and mounting dimensions are the same as the existing CA2.
