1) When the product is operated with air supplied to only one side, such as during a test operation
2) When the air in the cylinder is exhausted and back pressure cannot be secured during operation
3) When a meter-in speed controller is installed and the rise of the supply-side pressure during operation is suppressed
4) When the load factor exceeds 50% for vertical downward operation
2) If internal leakage of the valve or leakage of the piston seal occurs, air may collect around the lock mechanism, and the lock may be released.
For the pressure center type
1) When air is supplied to both sides at the center position, the lock is released.

For end lock cylinders:
Locking can only be performed at the stroke end of the cylinder on the side with the lock mechanism. As they have almost the same dimensions as the standard cylinder, they can only be operated with a standard 5-port 2-position valve.

Round bar type: This is the general type.
Chamfered type: The pallet contact surface of this type has been flattened (chamfered on one side), and the contact surface is fixed.
Roller type: This is a chamfered type with a resin roller at the end.
③ For new MY1, MY2, and MY3 series cylinders, only the new seal belt needs to be ordered.
④ The min. operating pressure of new bore size ø16 and ø20 cylinders has been changed as well (0.15 MPa for the MY1B, MY1C, MY1H, and MY series and 0.2 MPa for the MY1M and MY3 series).
Refer to the excerpt about the double knuckle joint from the “Dimensions of Accessories” page below.
A knuckle pin and retaining rings are included.
The CG1 series catalog can be found here.

Contact your nearest SMC sales representative for details.
The sensor part in particular needs to be protected by a cover, etc., if the product may be exposed to liquids in the operating environment.
The corresponding mass is also called the corresponding mass of the impacting object.
① (Unit of collision speed v: m/s) Me becomes larger when the speed becomes less than 1 m/s because the square of the speed is the denominator.
② The piping from the cylinder to the air-hydro converter should have an upward slope.
③ Do not position the port facing vertically downward.
④ Keep the piping as short as possible with minimal bending.
Note 1) When used as a single-side hydro unit, air may be mixed in with the operating oil.
They are not related to the auto switch model.
Note 1) For solid state auto switches, the 2 numbers indicate the year and month of production, and the following 3 letters indicate the production lot.
Note 2) The letters may or may not have a rectangle around them.
Note 3) The production lot of reed auto switches is indicated in numbers instead of letters.
The lead wire specifications of each auto switch can be found in the web catalog as shown below. Refer to each catalog for further details.
Note) The D-M9□ series uses flexible cables as standard.
The D-□ series catalog can be found here.

1 angle adjuster unit is required for retrofitting to an actuator without an auto switch unit.
When retrofitting to an actuator with an auto switch unit, 1 angle adjuster unit and 1 joint unit are required.
Sizes 20, 30, and 40 of the new CRB series released in November 2018 can be adjusted by ±5° on 1 side (start or end point) as standard.
For the CRB2BWU(10-40)-180S, the angle can only be adjusted from 0° to 175°, just slightly under 180°. Therefore, selection of the type with a 270° rotating angle is required.

Refer to the rotary unit operation manual, which can be found here.
The double vane type has double the pressure receiving area, so the torque is twice that of the single vane type.
However, due to the construction, only 90° and 100° rotating angles are possible.
The vane shafts of sizes 10, 15, and 20 of the CRB2 series are made of stainless steel for the single vane type and chrome molybdenum steel for the double vane type.
The alarm contents and alarm codes can be checked in the controller setting kit.
However, only the alarm contents are displayed in the teaching box.
For more information, refer to the “Alarm details” section in the JXC51/61 series operation manual.
The JXC51/61 series operation manual can be found here.
