The old SQ series was discontinued in July 2013.
The main points of comparison between the new and old type are as follows.
① The pilot valve has been changed. (New and old pilot valves are not interchangeable.)
② The low-wattage type (0.4 W) is now the standard specification.
③ The new valves are manifold mountable.

The RSQ series is a fixed-height stopper cylinder with proven endurance and low breakaway characteristics. The RSG series is an adjustable mounting height stopper cylinder. It can be raised or lowered according to the distance required to stop the work piece. The RSH heavy-duty stopper cylinder is specially designed for use on conveyor lines or other applications requiring an external stopping

The 5 port solenoid valves series SQ was designed for applications which demand high speed, high frequency, long life and a precise response time. The SQ uses cassette style valves and manifolds, making it simple to increase or decrease the number of stations on a DIN rail.  Valves are available with 12VDC or 24VDC rated voltage.
