Caution Leakage voltage When a resistor and a switching element are used in parallel or C-R device (surge voltage suppressor) is used for the protection of the switching device, note that leakage voltage will increase because earth leakage current passes through the resistor and C-R device. Keep the leakage voltage as shown below.
